What is Sambung Ayat?
Sambung Ayat is a free quiz for practicing Quran memorization. You see one ayah and then choose the next ayah, guess its surah or juz, complete the missing word, or identify an ayah from audio.
Is Sambung Ayat free, and do I need to log in?
It is free, with no ads and no account. Your history and mastery are stored only on this device.
Which quiz modes are available?
There are 6 modes: Continue the Verse, Guess the Surah, Complete the Verse, Guess the Verse from Audio, Guess the Juz, Previous Verse. Each mode can be set per juz, per surah, or for a range of surahs.
Can I use it without internet?
Yes. After your first visit, the text-based quiz for Juz 30 and the core pages are available offline. Audio modes need internet, except for audio you saved with the Save audio button.
How does a teacher create a quiz for a whole class?
Open Teacher Mode, choose a mode and scope, then share the link or QR code. Every student who opens the link gets the same questions. When they finish, students can send their score to the group, and the teacher pastes it on the Recap page.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Ten questions that are the same for everyone on the same day (Western Indonesia Time, WIB). The official score is your first attempt that day.
Where do the text, translation, and audio come from?
The text is from the Tanzil Project, the Indonesian translation comes through the AlQuran.cloud API, and the recitation audio is from EveryAyah. Details are on the About page.
Is this a substitute for learning with a teacher?
No. Sambung Ayat is only a revision aid. Your recitation and memorization still need to be heard by a teacher (talaqqi).
How do I report an ayah that displays wrongly?
Through the Contact page. Include the surah and ayah number.
